Jesse Wilkinson

LTC (Ret) Jesse Lee Wilkinson gently passed away on January 13, 2016. Jesse was born in Barren County, Kentucky, January 26, 1923. He was the only son of William Watson Wilkinson and Helen May Mansfield Wilkinson. He served in the Army from 1943 to 1969 and saw war time service in the Pacific Theater during WWII and in Korea. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. We give thanks to God for the long and blessed life of this good man. He is survived by his three children, Nancy Smith and husband John, Susan Mims and husband Greg, and William (Bill) Watson Wilkinson II and wife Tura; grandchildren, Susan Michelle Smith, John Patrick Smith, Jessica Louise (nee Mims) Davis and her husband Mark, Sara Mae Wilkinson, Rebecca Grace Wilkinson, Josh Gonzalez, Adam Gonzalez, and Analisa Gonzalez; great grandchildren, Reilly Louise Davis and Watson Bramlett Davis; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at the Universal City United Methodist Church, at 11:00 AM. A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, at 1:00 PM.
