Ret. Staff Sergeant Jesse G. Sanchez, US Army, 43, of San Antonio, TX, passed away peacefully at his home on June 20, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on June 7, 1981, the beloved son of Ramon and Maria Sanchez.

Jesse dedicated 20 years of his life in service to his country, proudly serving in the Army. He cherished his time in the military, reflecting his deep commitment and sense of duty.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kandie Mendoza; his cherished children, Tristan and Arianna Sanchez; his devoted mother, Maria Sanchez; his brother, Raymond Sanchez, and sister-in-law, Edna Sanchez; his sister, Hilda Cardenas, and brother-in-law, Eloy Cardenas; his sister, Sylvia Sanchez; his sister, Nancy Sanchez; his brother, Joe Gonzales, and brother-in-law, Noverto Gonzales; as well as nieces Ashley Cardenas, Shelby Cardenas, Mayla Aguilera, and Novah Gonzales, and nephews, Sawyer Gonzales and Odin Mendoza.

Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Ramon Sanchez, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms into eternal peace.

A visitation to honor Jesse Sanchez will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM, also at Schertz Funeral Home. Following the service, a reception will be hosted at the home of his wife and children, located at 16518 Retama Crown, Selma, TX 78154.

Jesse will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty to his family, his dedication to his country, and his gentle spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him dearly.
