Jesse Homer Crouch of Cibolo, Texas, passed away on December 11th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and inspiration. Born to Woodrow and Jessie Crouch on July 7th, 1941, in Alexandria, Louisiana, Homer spent the majority of his life in the Alexandria area until moving to Cibolo in 2021.
A proud graduate of Holy Savior Menard Central High School in Alexandria, LA, Homer held a deep appreciation for education. He continued his academic journey, earning a bachelor's degree from Louisiana College and a master's degree from LSU. This commitment to learning paved the way for a fulfilling career in education within the Rapides Parish School System. His career included serving as a math teacher, football and track coach, principal, and culminated as the Director of Secondary Education. Homer's impact on the lives of countless young athletes and students was profound, shaping character and inspiring success.
Homer shared a remarkable 59-year marriage with the love of his life, Delma Crouch. Their love story was an enduring example, an inspiration to all who had the privilege of witnessing it. Inseparable until the end, their bond transcended time and circumstance.
Beyond his dedication to education, Homer had many passions, including his love for fishing and sports, especially LSU Tigers!!!!
Homer is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Delma, his parents Woodrow and Jesse Crouch, his son Rodney Crouch, and his brother Pat Crouch.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Stephanie Sarver, his 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and his brother Woody Crouch.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Homer's life will be held at a later date in Pineville, LA.
