Jerry Lineberry

Jerry Lee Lineberry of San Antonio, TX, born on April 9, 1945, passed away on March 10, 2022 at the age of 76. Jerry spent his early years in Salem, VA where he graduated Andrew Lewis High School in 1963. After working several years as an assistant manager at a local grocery store in Salem, he and his loving wife Theresa Gale Lineberry both joined the U.S. Army as Intelligence Analysts in 1976. Jerry served 20 years in the U.S. Army and retired at the rank of Sergeant First Class. During his time in the Army he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Science from the University of Maryland in 1979. Following his distinguished military career, Jerry worked another 15 years for the Air Force as a Civil Servant; retiring in 2010. Jerry loved playing football, riding and showing horses, reading military novels, watching John Wayne movies and going on cruises with his wife. Jerry is preceded in death by the love of his life Theresa Gale Lineberry and his parents, Herman and Ruth Lineberry, he is survived by his children; Devon Lineberry, Deborah Penaluna and husband Devin, grandchildren; Elissa Penaluna, Abigale Penaluna, Brett Penaluna, Nathan Penaluna and siblings; Jim Linesberry, Cindy Law, Alma Lineberry. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of San Antonio on Saturday, Mar 19, 2022, at 4:00pm. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on April 14, 2022 at 10:30am.The family requests in lieu of flowers a memorial donation be made to First Baptist Church of San Antonio, TV Ministry or Texas Veteran's Commission.
