Jerry Belew

Jerry Lee Belew, born April 6, 1950 in Gorman, TX, passed away on February 7, 2018, in New Braunfels, TX at the age of 67. He lived in Clovis NM for many years where he was a car salesman and racehorse owner. He was proud to retire owning his own car dealership business in 2015. He was passionate about racehorses and was in the racehorse business for 11 years. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, which to them he was An Amazing Jerry Pa.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Hubert Morris and Celia Lee Belew, and brother Buddy Belew. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years Cindy Lu Belew; children, Trampas Belew and Amy, Roper Belew and Jessica, Cutter Belew and Lorene, Gwindolyn Roberts, and Joni Eichholtz and Lance; grandchildren, Devin Roberts and Sarah, Calie Roberts, Kaylynn Grace Belew, Brice Belew, Cole Corder, Knox Belew, Paige Eichholtz, Teagan Belew, Brecken Belew, and one greatgrandchild Lilah Roberts.

The best way to describe Jerry was bigger than life. He never met a stranger. It didn't matter where you were he could and did talk to any and everyone. By the time he left he had made a new friend. He made such an impact on so many peoples life and he taught all his children and grandchildren what a gentleman really is.

Services will be on Saturday, February 17, 2018, 10:00am at the Schertz Funeral Home and followed by burial services at Hill Country Memorial Gardens.
