Jerome Seiler

August 18, 1933 — January 23, 2013

Jerome Seiler went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas in the company of his family. Jerome was born on August 18, 1933 in Schertz, TX to Alfred and Minnie Seiler. He graduated from Lower Valley High School in 1951, went on to serve 2 years in the Army, and then 33 years for AAFES. Jerome loved fishing, 9 pin bowling, and picking and shelling pecans. He was known for always giving of himself and his time to help others in need. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Minnie Seiler, sister, Gloria Rutledge, brother, Harvey Seiler, grandson, Douglas Brannon, and step-daughter, Judi McMillian. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Verdie Seiler, siblings Helen Luensmann, Dorothy Wieding, Lawrence Seiler, and Alfred Seiler, Jr.; daughter, Cheryl Brannon; step children, Wayne Tatsch, Rodney Tatsch, Shelly Donley and Rhonda Miles; granddaughter, Amanda Silsbee; great-granddaughter Alannah Silsbee and numerous other step grand and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on February 5, 2013 from 5:00 " 8:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on February 6, 2013 at 11:00AM with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent in Jeromes name to BAMC Fisher Houses, 3623 George C. Beach Rd., Ft. Sam Houston, TX 78234-5000.
