Jennifer Woodward

Jennifer Leigh Woodward was born November 18, 1986 in San Antonio, TX and went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2013 in Angel Fire, New Mexico at the age of 26 years, 3 months and 13 days. Jennifer was a 2005 graduate of Samuel Clemens High School and received her Bachelor of Science in General Business from Mid-Western State University, Wichita Falls, TX in 2010. Jennifer was employed by Joeris General Contractors in San Antonio, TX as a Project Manager Assistant. She was a lifelong member of Schertz United Methodist Church (SUMC). She is survived by her father and mother, William Hal & Patricia Woodward of Schertz, TX; a sister, Amy Woodward of Schertz; a sister, Krista Woodward of San Antonio; her grandmother, Edna Ryan of Schertz; a grandfather, Melvin Thiele of San Antonio; a grandfather, J. Troy Woodward of Pearsall, TX; four nieces, one nephew and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Jennifer is preceded in death by her grandmother, Marcelle (Sally) Thiele. Growing up, Jennifer was involved in, band, volleyball and active in the Schertz United Methodist Church Youth Group where she participated in youth choir and the yearly Mission Trips to South Texas helping build homes or improve living conditions for families in need. Jennifer loved singing Karaoke, floating down the river, and dancing. Jennifer attended her Chrysalis Walk at Mount Wesley in 2004. Jennifer was a happy, loving young lady with a sparkling smile and a loving personality. She had many friends and enjoyed spending time with all of them. Jennifer was dating John P. Verhalen, III, of San Antonio who passed away with her in Angel Fire, along with Johns sister Sarah Verhalen and her daughter Chloe Jameson. A Memorial service will be celebrated in Jennifers honor on March 17th at 2 pm at the Schertz United Methodist Church, 3460 FM 3009 (Roy Richards Drive). Memorial gifts may be made to Schertz United Methodist Church in her memory.
