Jennifer Varelans of Schertz, TX, born on August 6, 1960, passed away on April 27, 2015 at the age of 54. Jennifer was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed volunteering for the San Antonio Livestock Exposition and was a proud supporter of the youth projects at the Bexar County Junior Livestock Sale, S.A.L.E and the Guadalupe County Livestock Sale. Jennifer is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Absheer. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Mike Varelans; mother, Betty Absheer; daughters, Lindsey Munsterteiger, Ashley Schwarz and Kendall Varelans; grandchildren, Olivia Schwarz, Zachary Munsterteiger; sisters, Tammy Absheer - Brown and Sandy Anderson. The family will receive friends at 10:00AM on Friday, May 1, 2015, at the Schertz Funeral Home, with the Funeral Service to begin at 11:00AM. Pastor Joe Walts will be officiating. Interment will follow at Zuehl Cemetery in Marion, TX. The family request in lieu of flowers that a memorial donation be made to Thrive Well Cancer Foundation Patient Assistance at Thrivewell.org
