Jeffrey Paul Hulgan, 54, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas after a long battle with diabetes. Jeff was born at Bergstrom Air Force Base Hospital on February 13, 1964 to Paul and Carol (Newberry) Hulgan. Jeff was a graduate of Judson High School in 1982and the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1987 after attending the University of Texas at Austin for two years. Jeff was a long-time fan of Star Trek, loved vacationing on the Texas coast and was an avid learner of history at museums. He was a regular volunteer for Meals on Wheels in memory of his grandfather.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Claude and Alice Newberry and Jack and Helen Hulgan. He is survived by his long-time love Leslie Marine and their two dogs. He is also survived by his parents Paul and Carol Hulgan of Universal City, sister Julie Perez, brother in law Felipe, niece Samantha and nephew Nathan all of Austin.
Arrangements are handled by the Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, Texas. A Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at the Schertz Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or San Antonio Meals on Wheels.
