Jeffrey “Jeff” Raymond DiBiasi, age 55, residing in Schertz, TX, born February 14, 1964, died peacefully at Brooke Army Medical Center January 31, 2020, after a short and valiant fight with cancer, surrounded by his family.
Jeff was born in Westminster, CA to Ray and Pat DiBiasi. At the age of 2 years old, the family moved to Burns, Oregon, where he lived until he enlisted in the United States Air Force immediately following high school. Jeff’s 30 years of service in the USAF included multiple moves and positions. His duty stations include McChord AFB Washington, US Embassy in Brussels, Belgium, UC at Boulder, Colorado, the Pentagon in Washington DC, Kleine-Brogel in Belgium, Randolph AFB in TX, Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA, Scott AFB in Illinois, and United States Forces Iraq in Bagdad, Iraq. His final assignment was as Commander of the 52 nd Communications Squadron at Spangdahlem AFB in Germany, where he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel with full military honors. After military retirement, Jeff continued to work and was the Director of Federal Business and Program Management with Bestica at the time of his death.
Jeff enjoyed keeping fit and running. He enjoyed training for and running marathons with friends around the globe. Jeff could just as easily relax and take in a Lifetime Movies marathon, listen to music (he loved all music but Elvis held a special place in his heart), sing, laugh and be with friends. He never met a stranger and he had a way of making everyone he met feel special and important. He was genuinely interested in what people had to say and wanted to help and advise when ever he could. His laugh and smile were contagious.
Jeff was an adoring son, loving father, loving husband, supportive brother, uncle, and friend. He will be forever remembered by his proud parents, Ray and Pat DiBiasi, his wife of 20 years, Michele “Mickey” DiBiasi, son Christopher DiBiasi, his brother Brian DiBiasi and sister-in-law Lynette DiBiasi. He will also be remembered by his father-in-law and mother-in-law David and Carolyn Aime, sister-in-law Cathie Aime, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Chris Aime and Jacqui Hanson, as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of lifelong friends.
Memorial donations are suggested in Jeff’s Memory to the Gary Sinise Foundation, a Veterans foundation serving our heroes since 2011 ( https://www.garysinisefoundation.org/ ) or Caring Bridge ( https://www.caringbridge.org/ ).
