Jeanette Stanley

Jeanette Callsen Stanley, age 94, passed away on January 20, 2017. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Nic of 42 years, her parents, and brother Bob. She is survived by daughters Liz (Dodi) Stanley and Mary Coburn & husband Terry, grandchildren Katherine and Christopher, niece Carole Callsen and close friend Debbie Fields. Before Nic's death in 1988, they enjoyed countless years of bowling, camping and trips to Port Aransas. Jeanette worked at GPM Life Insurance for 40 years as a secretary. Following Nic's death in 1988, Jeanette volunteered at Metropolitan Methodist on the OB/GYN floor for 20 years. Jeanette belonged to Turner Club, where in her younger years she was an avid and talented bowler. Jeanette's other talent and favorite hobby was cooking, especially for other people. Special thanks to the caregivers and staff at Incarnate Word Extended Care for always treating our mother with love, dignity and respect. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11:00AM at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church, 111 Barilla Place, San Antonio, TX 78209, (Visitation beginning at 10:00AM). Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11:00AM at Mission Burial Park South.
