Jean Jones

Jean C. Jones of Schertz, TX passed away September 10, 2013. Jean was a long time resident of Schertz, TX for almost 44 years. Jean was the devoted wife of Don L Jones Sr, a United States Air Force veteran. Don L Jones, Sr. passed away in April of 1985. Jean was a loving and caring mother of three boys who were her life. Jeans sons: Don L Jones Jr. of Austin, TX, Robert B. Jones of Lake Dallas, TX, and Edward T Jones of Schertz TX who preceded her in death April, 2013. Jean is also survived by her loving sister Betty Vangjel of San Antonio, TX and her loving brother John Wells of Norwich, England. Jean also has a loving companion of 15 years, Homer Blair of Schertz TX. He was devoted to Jean and brought so much happiness to her life. The Jones Family would like to give great thanks to the close family members and friends of Jean for all their time and gracious support. The Jones family would also like to thank the Odyssey Hospice of San Antonio on Blanco RD. They truly gave Jean the care she deserved with kindness and respect. Visitation will be held at the Schertz Funeral Home on September 17th between the hours of 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Schertz Funeral Home is located at 2217 FM 3009 Schertz TX. The church service will be on September 18, 2013 at 10.00AM. The service will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd located at 1065 East Live Oak RD. Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:45 AM. The cemetery is located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX.
