JD Sorrells

JD Sorrells passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday October 20th in his home in Cibolo, Tx. at the age of 91.

 JD was born in Dallas, TX. to James Franklin Sorrells and Ola Loyd on July 31st 1933. He was a graduate of N.R. Crozier Technical High School in 1952. He spent two years in the Army in Washington. He went on to become a Master Electrician doing work for all the major oil companies. He was married twice in his life. First to Betty Jane Stuart in 1954. Giving him a daughter, Felicia Marie Sorrells. Then married to Sophie Marie Lightfoot in 1964, giving him a son, Steven Jack Sorrells. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also an avid bowler. Bowling up to the age of 90.

He is survived by his daughter Felica Marie Self and her husband Phillip. His son Steven Jack Sorrells and his wife Felicia. Grandchildren Jeremy and wife Emily, Leann and husband Jerry, Stony and Cheyenne. Great grandchildren Evelynn, Lilly, Lyla, Sebastian, and Elias. He is survived by four nieces and their families. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his brothers George Franklin, James Harold, William Boyd and his loving wife of 55 years Sophie Marie Lightfoot.
