Janice Beland

Janice Kay Beland (née Zbella) 72: born August 6, 1951, passed away January 9, 2024.  Converse, Texas resident, longtime resident of Mokena , IL and Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood. Devoted wife of Sandor J. Szajkovics. Devoted and beloved mother of Timothy M. (Gabrielle) Beland and Keith C. (Janie) Beland. Stepmother to Steven J. (Sheri) Szajkovics, Grandmother to Matthew Beland, Ashley Beland, Mackenzie Beland, Emily Beland, Nicholas Beland, Dylan Szajkovics, Ryan Szajkovics , a great Grandmother of Harlo . Best forever friend for over 66 years to Patricia Dreger Evans. Daughter of the late Mildred M. (née Scofield) and the late Edward John Zbella, Sr. Sister of the late Edward John, Jr (Noreen) Zbella. Aunt and Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Devoted, trusted and loving friend to many St. Nicholas Grade School (Chicago) and St. Willibrord High School ((Chicago) Alumni. 

A Visitation will be held from 5:00pm - 8:00PM, with the Rosary to be recited at 6:30pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00am on Friday, January 19, 2024 at St. Monica Catholic Church of Converse, Texas. A private interment will take place at a later date.
