Janelle Marie Malec, born on May 13, 1964 in Oakland, CA, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on June 8, 2018, in Cibolo, TX. Janelle is preceded in death by Janet Anderson, Phyllis LaBrie, and Lloyd LaBrie. She is survived by her husband David Malec, Sr. and mother Phyllis Cole, Children; David Malec, Jr. , Heather Bryant, Marguerite Malec, Amanda Malec, Jenalee Malec, Harrison Malec, grandchildren; Tristan Strickland, Victoria Pittman, Matthew Malec, Robert Malec, Gabriel Malec, Serenity Malec, Alexander Bernal, Diego Bernal, Austin Bernal, Savannah Bryant, and Kendall Bryant, siblings; Denise Cole, Angela Cole, Eric Anderson, Jacquelyn Larson, and Robin LaBrie Jackson. She served her country in the United States Air Force where she was honorably discharged, she loved sewing, making quilts for kids, crocheting, knitting, embroidering, and gardening. Janelle also had a great love for animals and Ellen Degeneres, playing bunko and dancing. Above all she loved being a mother and grandmother to her 6 children and 11 grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass will be conducted on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, 10:30am, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, TX, with the interment to follow at Selma Cemetery No. 2. In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
