Jamie Mansell

July 16, 1928 — August 23, 2020

Jamie Webb Mansell, 92 of San Antonio, passed away Sunday August 23, 2020, after a brief illness.  She was born July 16, 1928 in O’Donnell, Texas to the late Sally Young Ables and James Madison Ables and had 10 siblings.  She married the late Floyd Webb in 1946 and lived throughout Colorado and Albuquerque, New Mexico, until his death in 1974.  She moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1975 and was employed as a church receptionist at Trinity Baptist Church for 19 years until she retired.  She had a love for singing and was active in the Trinity Baptist Choir and Senior Adult Ministry.  In 1979, she married the late Delbert Mansell of San Antonio, Texas.  She later resided at The Inn at Los Patios in San Antonio for the remainder of her life.  Jamie is survived by her daughter Brenda Webb Wideman (Tom) of Schertz, Texas, son Stephen Patrick Webb (Carolyn) of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren, Rachel James (Jeff) of Lubbock, Texas, Amy Johnston (Richard) of Cibolo, Texas, Tim Wideman of Schertz, Stephen Webb (Loren) of Orlando, Florida, and Jonathan Webb (Sascha) of Olathe, Kansas; one sister Christine Ellerby of San Antonio, Texas; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  There will be a memorial service Thursday August 27, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas with Dr. Leslie Hollon Officiating.  She will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
