James Ovens

May 8, 1950 — January 10, 2011

James B. Ovens of Schertz, TX passed away at home on January 10, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. Born on May 8th 1950 to Marion and Robert Ovens, he moved his family to Texas in 1979 and became an owner/operator truck driver. He loved the open road and will always be remembered as 'Ramblin' Man'. He is preceeded in death by his father Robert Ovens and survived by his mother Marion Ovens, his loving wife Crystal Ovens, daughters Andrea Ovens, Jennifer and her husband Charles Orth, Ainslee Ovens, Melissa and her husband Robert Grimando and his grandsons Michael and Braden Orth and Austin Reiniger and his siblings, Bobby, Tommy, Kevin, Debbie, Drew, Chris and Jean. James will be greatly missed by his family and friends and he is now at peace with the Lord. A Memorial Service will be held at Schertz Funeral Home at 2217 FM 3009 on Friday, January 14th at 4pm.
