James Harris

March 24, 1930 — June 6, 2008

James Jim Eugene Harris, age 78 of Cibolo, passed away on June 6, 2008. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy & Etta (Ballou) Harris. Jim is survived by his wife; Louise Harris, daughter; Pam Miller, step-sons; Greg Polley, Mark Polley and Eric Polley, step-daughters; Cheryl Walker, Dawn Garrett and Cynthia Worley, sister; Dorothy Bradley and 26 grandchildren. Jim was a loving husband, father, step-father and grandfather. He spent most of his life taking care of others and helping wherever he could. He will always be remembered by anyone who knew him as a true Caregiver. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, June 11, 2009 at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, June 12, 2009 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment, with full military honors, will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The American Heart Association.
