James Hugh Curtis, born on December 2, 1939 in Beaumont, Texas to Jack and Janie Jordan Curtis, passed away on October 20, 2018 at the age of 78. James proudly served in the US Navy for four years. He went on to earn his bachelors in education and taught History in SCUCISD. James was a member and heavily involved in the First Baptist Church in Schertz. James is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Janie Jordan Curtis; sister, Jacqueline Curtis. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Emma Elizabeth Curtis; nephew, Cody Taylor and wife Jessica; niece, Debra Shane. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 1:00PM at the First Baptist Church of Schertz.
