July 23, 1944 — November 20, 2012
James (Jimmie) Harold Brantley was born on July 23, 1944 in Graham, Texas and passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 2012. He lived his entire life in Odessa, Texas, but traveled and spent time in many other areas. He and his wife Donna retired to the New Braunfels area in 2009 where he especially enjoyed being at home with his family. He was always up for a good time and could make anyone laugh. He loved to deep sea fish, hunt feral hogs, and to buy new cars. His first choice for a getaway was always Vegas- he probably owns stock in half the casinos there. Jimmie always had great stories about his life experiences which were many and unusual. He was an amazing man with great insight into people and always knew the right thing to say. He was a bright spot in many lives and will be dearly missed. Jimmie is survived by his beloved wife Donna Williams, daughter Lisa Brantley, son John Williams and wife Debbie, son Billy Williams and wife Jamie. His grandchildren Samantha Hall and husband Justin, Erin Williams, Shelby Williams and Barrett Williams and great grandson Easton Hall. His grandchildren knew him by Papa or Kix, first given by Samantha because he was just like a big kid . He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Bohannon and husband Calvin, brothers, Rodney Brantley, Mike Groce and wife Judy and numerous nieces and nephews.
