James Baker, Jr.

September 13, 1957 — March 23, 2018

James Pearl Baker Jr, 60, of Cibolo, TX, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Rosa Maria Baker, his daughters Elizabeth Ann Baker, and Sarah Nicole Baker, sisters Teresa Marie Gardiner and Debra Rogney.

A Memorial Service will be held at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, TX 78154 on March 31, 2018, at 1:00PM.

James will be remembered for his ready smile and his loving generosity. His kindness and open hearted nature was experienced by all who were fortunate to know him. His family and friends will miss him forever. He loved the outdoors; hunting and fishing were his all-time favorites. His love of cooking will be missed by all who shared a meal or favorite dessert with him. James said his all-time favorite job of his life was cooking for the children at St. Luke's Episcopal School, especially at the annual outdoor school adventures. James deeply loved his family and was loved deeply in return. His determination to live was felt by all close to him. James fought a short but hard battle with cancer. He struggled in pain to the very end of his life. May he fine comfort in the Lord and be re -united with his father James Pearl Baker, Sr and mother Elizabeth Fairfax Baker.
