Isabella Gomez Cross, born in Luxello, Texas on November 5, 1943. She dedicated over 30 years of her life to serving with passion and commitment at the Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) until she retired. On March 2, 2024, she went to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished.
Isabella's warm personality and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She had a deep love for reading books. When she wasn't reading books, she was perusing her favorite magazine, National Geographic. One of her most favorite and peaceful past-times was doing jigsaw puzzles (nothing less than 500 pieces though!). Her adventurous soul found joy in traveling to new places, admiring flowers, and most of all, in spending quality time with her beloved grandson, Nicholas B. Cross-Irons.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert L. Cross; devoted daughter, Christine E. Cross; caring son-in-law, Douglas B. Irons; adored grandson, Nicholas B. Cross-Irons; as well as her brothers Ralph Gomez and Eloy Gomez. Isabella is preceded in death by her parents Cosme Gomez and Alejandra Ayala, and her beloved siblings.
