Irma Tracey
December 30, 1943 — February 15, 2014
Irma F. Tracey, born on December 30, 1943, was called to rest and be at peace with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 15, 2014. Irma was a devoted wife, and a caring mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, David J. Tracey. She left behind three loving daughters; Clara Guerrero, Nancy Griff, and Michelle Salazar; eight grandchildren; Cezar Trinidad, Ryan Griff, Estevan Guerrero, Mari Elle Guerrero, Marissa Augilera-Salazar, Antonio Salazar, Isabella Salazar, and Elysia Salazar; three sons-in-law; Rigoberto Guerrero, Paul Griff, and Albert R. Salazar, who will miss her, however, take comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering. "She will be in our thoughts and we will carry her in our hearts." Irma was a strong and willful woman, yet was always willing to give love, friendship and anything needed to all who touched her heart. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003 and fought a long battle to be able to share in our lives for 11 more years. She is also survived by four sisters, two brothers, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Lydia Fernandez and her sister, Maria Luisa Fernandez. A Viewing and Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014, from 5:00PM - 8:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, Texas 78154. The Memorial Service will be on Saturday, February 22, 2014, from 10:00AM - 12 Noon, at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Road, San Antonio, Texas 78266.
