Irene White

Mrs. Irene Mullens White 86, returned to glory on January 2nd, 2021, after an heroic battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Her steadfast devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, allowed her to maintain her sweet and gentle nature to the very end.

Her devotion to her family was her life’s work. Her love and attention went into everything and making every holiday a special one.

Irene is survived by her husband of 59 years, Don Edward White and her son Ronnie Edward White his wife Lisa Hosner-White and her two grandchildren Ronald Edward White II and Faith Louise White-Baker and her husband Chris. Her sister Lillian Alley and husband Lonnie. Her brother Dr William Hemphill and his wife Barbara. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in Death by her Father and Mother Bernice Meekins. Her nephew Arthur Ray Hopkins and his wife Minnie. Her father in law and his wife Jessie O White Sr and his wife May and her mother in law Exie M White.

The White Family thanks you for your words of encouragement and prayers, and ask that in lieu of flowers you make a donation to either the San Antonio Food Bank or the San Antonio Meals on Wheels Program in her name as this was an important to her.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 9:30AM - 11:30AM with the Funeral Service to begin at 11:30AM at the Schertz Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:45PM. Officiated By her Nephew Pastor Stephen C White of Houston Texas.
