Irene Mcleroy

Irene Theresa McLeroy, born on February 21, 1933,in Shiner Tx. passed away on July 26, 2013, at the age of 80. Her parents, William P. and Hetty Hewig, siblings, Earl Hewig, Roy Hewig, Willis Hewig, and Irma Nolley, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, MSgt Walter N. Mike McLeroy, USMC (Ret.); sons, Warren McLeroy and his wife, Deana, and Wade N. McLeroy Sr. and his wife, Gayle; grandchildren, Wade McLeroy Jr., Sean McLeroy, Erin McLeroy, and Caleb McLeroy; sister, Mildred Seidenberger and brother- in-law Daniel Seidenberger; sister-in-law Pat McHan and brother-in-law Harvey Mchan; 4 nephews, 4 nieces, and many cousins. Irene was a life member of V.F.W. Post 2059 Ladies Auxiliary in Kirby, Tx. She served as past president of that post as well as past president of District 20 V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, from 5:00PM " 9:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at 9:00AM, at Schertz Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Worley officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery .
