Ira Williams, Jr.

December 9, 1926 — March 22, 2011

Ira Williams, Jr, age 84 of Schertz, previously resided in Princeton, KY, passed away on March 22, 2011. Ira was known to many as IJ. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Irene M. Williams; daughters, Theresa Ann Hutchison & husband, Charles, Deborah Kay Williams and Linda Sue McKamey; sisters, Alma G. Jenkins, Odell Haile & husband, Harold; grandchildren, Linda, Tim, Kristen, Dawn, Angela, Cheryl, Doug, Brandon and Brian and 10 great-grandchildren and 3 dogs. After his tour in the Army, he met the love of his life Irene in Indiana. Together, they traveled; living in Indiana, Oklahoma, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky again before arriving in Texas. All along their journey they enjoyed motorcycle riding, boating, skiing, dancing, camping, traveling in their motor home and spending time with family and friends. Ira retired from the Chrysler Corporation after 30 years. He was also a Mason with the Clinton Lodge # 82 in Princeton, Kentucky. Visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 PM at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. The family wishes to express their upmost appreciation for the compassion and care of Ira to Chuck, Simon, Noe and Dr. Ryan Bourne.
