Ingrid Kelly

Ingrid Kelly (our mom) passed away peacefully on June 22, 2021 at age 85 in Universal City Texas.  She was a beautiful person, kind and loving, thoughtful and caring.  Her smile could melt a glacier.  She was true to her loving character.  When she spoke and smiled it came from a place of genuine goodness.  Our dad would often mention with softness and warmth in his eyes how much he loved mom and how she changed his world.  For her entire life including her long illness she maintained her pleasant demeanor, sweet smile, kindness and generosity.

Ingrid was born on June 30, 1935 in Cologne Germany. At the age of 19, she moved to Florida where she met her future husband of 61 years, Eugene Edward Kelly.  Theirs was a storybook romance. Ingrid was the loving mother to four children, Anita, Gene, Greg and Cary. She was the loving grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren, Jenna (Stu) and Daniel, and great grandmother to baby Robbie. She was always kind and caring.  She was extremely generous and gave so much to her family.  Family always came first to her.

Ingrid loved her life as a US Air Force officer's wife, and traveled the world many times. She made many lifelong friends.  She sent and received hundreds of Christmas cards every year.

Ingrid kept a beautiful home and garden. She even won the yard of the month award. She loved the outdoors, especially the beach, and the family spent many happy vacations together. She was a good friend to many, and an avid bridge player attaining the rank of Silver Life Master. Ingrid was an excellent cook and was a gracious hostess.

Ingrid was an incredibly kind, generous, warm and loving person. She was also very beautiful. Everyone that met Ingrid loved her.  She will be forever missed.
