Imogene Davis

January 15, 1929 — September 5, 2013

Imogene (Jean) Louise Mrosko Davis went home with our Lord, September 5, 2013. She was born in Taylor, TX, January 15, 1929. Jean was the devoted wife of Leon Davis, a United States Air Force veteran, who preceded her in death December 2000. Their marriage of 52 years included 26 years of moving between military bases in Texas, Kansas, Maine, Illinois, California, Germany and Japan before settling in Schertz TX in 1972. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Peggy Davis; grandsons Colby and Sean; her loving niece and nephews, Sherry Adams, Scott Mrosko, and Christopher Mrosko and her great-niece Wendy Wallingford; and great-nephews Tyler, Kyle, Zane, and Payton Mrosko. She was also blessed with caring neighbors and friends who helped look after her. Jean enjoyed sunshine, old movies, her and others pet dogs, and backyard wild birds for whom she made sure a water bowl and was always filled. Visitation for Jean will be held Thursday, September 12 at Schertz Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with an open casket. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 7:00 PM by Chaplain Kerry Haynes. Interment will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
