Henry Godbout, Jr.

Jim Godbout, age 73, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 in Schertz. He was born on August 22, 1938 in Kingsport, Tennessee to the late Henry E. Godbout, Sr. and Mary Catherine Godbout. Survivors include: Jerry S. Godbout, Larry and Greg Akin, Mitzie Katerndahl; his brother, Richard Dick Godbout, Sr., Richard D. Godbout, Jr., Meghan Floyd; his sister, Sandra L. Trudel, Mark, Roger and Nicole Trudel and 7 grandchildren. Jim was a decorated Vietnam War veteran and retired in 1985 as a Chief Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He was a meteorologist for the Air Weather Service, serving over 28 years in various assignments throughout the world. Jim was an alumni of Southwest Texas State University, an avid lifetime golfer, philosopher, and part-time gentleman farmer. A Celebration of Jims life will be held on his farm at 2454 Wetz Road, Marion, Texas 78124 on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 2:30 P.M.
