Helen Irene Loveland Diefendorf born November 28, 1928 in Brownville, New York, passed on March 8, 2015, in Live Oak, Texas. Helen spent her years working at BAMC as a registered nurse, as well as a faithful member of Live Oak Baptist Church. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Leander Augustus Loveland, and Vera Irene Barrett; her spouses, Philip Cook, and Roy C. Diefendorf; sisters, Mary Wells, and Doris Huck; and son, Mark Diefendorf. She is survived by her children, JoAnne McLeod of Buda Texas, Karen Tomme and husband, David of Universal City, Texas, Lynne Edwards of Buda, Texas, and Roy C. Diefendorf and wife, Margaret of Las Vegas, New Mexico. Siblings, Eileen Scott, Eulanee Mott, Carol Webb, Donna Doldo, Susan Jones, Howard Loveland, Bob Loveland, and Cecil Loveland; grandchildren, Jennifer Watler and husband, Eric, Trent Tomme and wife, Cassie, Rachel Edwards, Richard Edwards IV, Donald McLeod, Tammy McLeod, Caitlyn Diefendorf, and Morgan Diefendorf; great-grandchildren, Jordan Watler, and Bayleigh Tomme; and also countless nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 9:00 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
