Haydee Pla

June 27, 1932 — October 22, 2010

Mrs. Haydee A. Pla, 78, went to her heavenly home to join her family members on October 22, 2010. She was one of 11 children while growing up in Puerto Rico. She was the first wife of Luis L. Pla (Ret. Col.) and served with him 27 years in the Army. Both were pharmacists. Her career spanned 44 years: she retired after 32 years with Walgreens. She was a devoted mother of 4 children, Maria (Kreamer), Rosa (Baker), Luis E. Pla and Ediltrudis (Rager). She adored her 9 grandchildren. Visitation and Rosary will be held on Wed. October 27, 2010 at Schertz Funeral Home from 6-9pm, with rosary starting at 7pm. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Church of the Good Shepherd, Schertz, Texas, 78154. Graveside Services will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 12501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78266. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations could be directed to American Heart Assocation or to Church of Good Shepherd.
