Harry Kenney, Jr.

Harry T. Kenney, Lt. Col. USAF Retired, passed away at age 95 on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at San Antonios Northeast Methodist Hospital. Born in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Henry Thomas Kenney, Sr. and Agnes Quinlan Kenney, Col. Kenney served with the United States Army Air Corps during WW II in the China, Burma, India (CBI) Theater of War. Col. Kenney received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Mexico City College and a Masters Degree from the Air War College. He worked in international trade for several U. S. corporations as export manager and sales engineer in Latin America and the Caribbean; ran his own export business in Mexico, and later went to work for the U. S. Government in Chicago and Washington, D.C. Col. Kenney moved to Schertz, TX in 1992. A member of the Roman Catholic faith, Col. Kenney is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maria Luisa Kenney (ne Lpez Laso) of Schertz, TX, daughter Marisa Kenney (John Charles) Curran of Burke, VA; sons Kevin P. Kenney of Mexico City, MX and Brian A. Kenney of Arlington, VA; granddaughters Maura Patricia Curran of Seattle, WA and Caitlin Marie Curran of Dover, DE; niece Patricia J. (Johnny) McDougald of Savannah, GA, grandnieces Camille B. McDougald of Arlington, VA and Caroline McDougald (Ryan) Levenson of Knoxville, TN, and relatives on the Lpez Laso side of the family throughout Mexico. Graveside Service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 26, 2012 at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
