Harry Hills

July 22, 1930 — December 31, 2010

SGM Harry A. Hills, US Army, Retired passed away on December 31, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Hannelore L. Hills; children, Marcel Hills of Alexandria, VA, Ingrid Carter of San Antonio, TX and Richard Stange of Oceanside, CA; siblings, Brenda Jackvony of Cumberland, RI and Dottie & husband, Mike Mayernik of Lansford, PA; grandchildren, Sarah Schmidt of San Antonio, Kai Hills of MD and Andrew, Karl, Lauren and Kara Stange and great-grandchildren, Roselyn Alex of San Antonio and Skyler Hills of MD. Harry proudly served 30 years in the Army. He continued his career as a Respiratory Therapist at Methodist Hospital for 16 years. He met his loving wife, Hannelore on December 31, 1970 on a blind date. They have been married for 39 years. Harry was a sports fanatic, he loved all sports! Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Parkinson Research.
