Harley Wingo, Jr.

May 15, 1943 — January 31, 2010

Harley Wingo Jr. a great man, born on May 15, 1943. He was a hard working man all his life. He left this world too soon. Harley touched every person he came across. The only time he ever rested was to have his peanut butter and jelly on Ritz crackers, his favorite snack. He was a loving and dedicated husband to Grace his wife. He left behind two daughters, Grace Melton and husband Don of Athens, TN and Ruth Harris and husband Vincent of Adkins, TX. His granddaughter Jenny Delgado and husband Michael of Seguin, TX. Other grandchildren Deborah Glenewinkel , husband James and family of Seguin,TX, Vincent E. Harris, wife Vanessa and family of Adkins, TX. He also was a wonderful and very special great-grandfather to Zoe, Zane and Zed Delgado. Brother George Wingo, sisters Iris Seals and Wanita Pomeroy. As a young man he worked as a grocery store stocker. He also worked at Mobil oil and company as a welder. A sergeant in the Army he served in Vietnam. He worked as a service repair tech for Montgomery Wards most of his life. He worked there over 25 years. This was where he met the love of his life, Grace and married in 1973. He loved gardening and watching westerns. As his granddaughter, he was the best man I know and there will never be another who could fill his shoes. He brought happiness to my life and anyone who ever spoke with him. When he would make a service call the job was performed in a professional and excellent manner. We will miss him so very much. . I hope I can pass on the un-conditional love he gave me, to my children. He never judged me, he always seemed to make me feel at peace. So now it is his turn to be at peace.
