Hannibal Tameta Norella, was born on May 19, 1946 in Sibay, Antique, Philippines to parents: Pedro and Estrella Norella. He went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 13, 2017 in San Antonio, TX at the age of 71.
Hannibal graduated from FEATI University in Manila, Philippines with a degree in Radio Communications. In 1976, he immigrated to the United States, settling in Chicago, IL, where he later met his wife, Loida. In 1981, they relocated to San Antonio, TX for a job opportunity and promotion at DeWied International. He retired in 2014 after 37 loyal years with the firm serving as a department supervisor.
In 1992, Hannibal surrendered his life to Jesus, became a born-again believer and was water baptized. He was one of the founding members that assisted in the pioneering of Lord of the Harvest Church in San Antonio, TX, where he faithfully served for many years. He leaves a legacy of servanthood and devotion to the Lord as his children and grandchildren now lead and serve in the church. Hannibal enjoyed cooking and barbecuing, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family especially being surrounded by all his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father; mother; sister, Andromeda; brothers, Jose and Alex; and twin brother, Hasdrubal.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Loida de Roxas Norella.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00PM on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Schertz Funeral Home (with Visitation being held immediately before from 5:00-7:00PM). Graveside Services will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Holy Cross Cemetery.
