Guadalupe Torres

Guadalupe Saldana Torres, born on December 21, 1931, passed away on December 24, 2019, at the age of 88. Guadalupe, also known as Lupita, was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She was married to Lucio "Mike" for 54 years. She loved all kinds of music and loved to dance. She always welcomed everyone with a smile and a warm hug. She never let anyone leave her home hungry. Lupita was in renal failure, but then got well enough to stop dialysis. She became an activist for the Texas Kidney Foundation in 07. She also accomplished the biggest thing on her bucket list this year. Lupita became an official U.S. citizen. She is survived by her two daughters, Mirna and Lucy; and 2 grandchildren, Gabriel and Brianna. Visitation will be held from 6PM-8PM, with the Rosary to be recited at 7PM, on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be at 11:30AM on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Schertz, Texas.
