Guadalupe Coca Rangel born on July 26, 1945 went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2023 at the age of 78. He is preceded in death by his father David Rangel Sr., mother Anita Coca Rangel, his 5 brothers David C. Rangel Jr, Guillermo C. Rangel Sr., Juan C. Rangel, Jesus C. Rangel and Arnold C. Rangel and sister Dolores C. Ramirez.
Lupe is survived by his daughters; Judy Rangel Delgado, Ann Marie Rangel and Samantha Rangel Peacock (Leroy Jr) and grandchildren; Paige Peacock, Kirsten Delgado, Kelsey Delgado, Skyler Montgomery, Judah Brown, Selma Peacock, Leroy Peacock III, and Levi Peacock. Great grandchildren; Edward Martinez, Liam Delgado, Zoe Martinez, Dylan Martinez and Harper Montgomery. His surviving siblings include sisters; Josefina Lopez (Javier), Oralia Romo (Gilbert) and Felicitas DeLeon (Andrew), and brothers; Raul C. Rangel Sr. (Theresa), Edward C. Rangel (Mary) and other loving family members and friends.
Lupe was a proud Army veteran who served for our country in Desert Storm, he received numerous awards to include, several bonze metals and plaques. He retired from the military with 30 years of service in 2005. He loved spending his weekends going fishing, gambling, traveling, watching the Dallas Cowboys and spending time at the VFW with his family and friends.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday January 16, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Schertz Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:45 p.m.
Reception to follow at the VFW Post 9174, 2410 Pinn Rd. from 3:00-5:30 p.m.
