Gloria Shoaf

December 21, 1927 — November 28, 2014

Gloria Frances Heubaum Shoaf, born on December 21, 1927, passed away on November 28, 2014, at the age of 86. Gloria was an avid bowler and loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas and Kinder, LA. She also took many cruises, having been to places such as Alaska and the Panama Canal and many places in between. Her former spouses, James Leo Shipman and Charles Shoaf, her parents, Aaron and Eleanor Heubaum, and her two brothers, Bob and Charles, preceded her in death. Survivors include her sons, Stan Shipman and his wife, Karen, Scott Shipman and his wife, Cindy, and James Shipman, Jr. and his wife, Lucy; grandchildren, Jason Shipman and his wife Meagan, Daniel Shipman and his wife, Marci, Suzanne Martinez and her husband, Jesse, Stephanie Whitfield and her husband, John, and Todd Shipman and his wife, Lynette; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; longtime companion, Ray Cole. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 4, 2014, from 9:00AM-11:00AM, at Schertz Funeral Home, with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00AM, Pastor Donald Ofsdahl officiating. Interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to the dedicated and caring staff at Autumn Grove Cottage Stone Oak.
