Gerald Whaley

Gerald Lee Whaley, 75 of Cibolo, Texas entered eternal life on July 15th, 2015. He was born, June 28th, 1940 to parents, Lucy and Robert Whaley. Gerald's favorite hobbies were hunting and socializing at the Cibolo Self-Serve. In his younger years he enjoyed a game of golf and often wrote many songs, he was particularly gifted with the harmonica and loved his Country music. He always found enjoyment in the simple pleasures of life, one cold beer at a time. He worked and retired from Southern Pacific Railroad after 33 years. He joins his siblings James, Harold, Genova, Helen, Aubrey Dean, and his wife, Donna Kay, who he shared 55 years with. Gerald and Donna were married August 25th, 1960 in Harris County. He fathered and is survived by his three daughters, Donna Kinsey and husband, Charlie Nelson, Rachel Whaley and husband, Andrew Carey, Sheila Whaley and husband, Guy Semmler. He grandfathered Brandi Hernandez, Ashely Bahena, Shaina Scantling, Kaitlin Carey, Leah Lopez, and Zackary Davis. He great-grandfathered Anthony Kinsey, Kaylynn Kinsey, Ezekiel Scantling, and Aliva Bahena. The Visitation will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00AM followed by a Graveside Service at St. Paul Cemetery in Cibolo, Texas, Pastor Corey Webb officiating.
