Gerald Peterson

Gerald "Jerry" Peterson, born on March 7, 1949, passed away on February 2, 2018 at the age of 68. Jerry was very knowledgeable in all subjects, he was always the go-to guy when family members needed a question answered. He enjoyed traveling and learning the history of the places he visited with his wife. Jerry was enthusiastic about his daily workouts; he was known to walk 8-10 miles a day along with small workouts at home. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Melba Peterson; step-children, Mitchell Nielsen and wife Jennifer, Jason Nielsen and Christina Nielsen; seven grandchildren as well as other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 10:00AM-1:00PM at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel with the Funeral Service to begin at 1:00PM with Pastor David Collins Officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
