Gerald Koenning

Gerald W. Koenning, Sr. was born on May 19, 1941, in Yoakum, Texas. He unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on September 21, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward J. Koenning, Sr. and Marie (Boedeker) Koenning; four brothers and two sisters. Gerald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Angelyn "Jeannie" (Tieken) Koenning; daughter, Debra K. Luensmann (Larry); sons, Gerald W. Koenning, Jr., Kevin W. Koenning (Diane), and adopted son, Mario Ramirez Koenning; sisters, Eddie June Buckner and Sandra Tyler; and brother, Kenneth Koenning; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Gerald possessed a love of life and love of people, young and old, family or stranger. With his infectious personality, he made so many friends everywhere he went.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 26th from 5:00-7:00pm at Schertz Funeral Home.
