Gerald Earl Ellis

Our dearly beloved Gerald Earl Ellis passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024. Gerald was born on August 30, 1940, in Hickory Hill Township, Illinois. He is now reunited with his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Brenda Lee Ellis, his son Timothy Ellis and his mother, Lucille, father, Ogie. He is survived by his daughter Sarah Andrews (David) and son Matthew Ellis, and his sister Karen Whyte (William). His grandchildren, Ashley Nerio (Eric), David Andrews III (Erica), Nick Ellis (Logan), Melissa Sanders (Mark), Kristian Ellis; his great grandchildren, Makenzie Calhoun, Brett Tripp, Hunter Nerio, Liam Moreland, Levi Andrews, Wyatt Andrews, Kailand Sanders, Atticus Sanders, Orrin Sanders, Matthew Ellis, Cailyn Ellis; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was an Educational Leader-Principal for many years in Illinois before retiring and moving to Texas to be close to family. He was a wonderful, loving, and caring husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. We celebrate his overwhelming joy as he now worships God in His glorious presence.

A private Funeral Service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
