Gerald Dyke

October 6, 1942 — November 1, 2013

Gerald (Jerry) Van Dyke passed away on November 1, 2013 at the age of 71. His wife of 47 years, Ouida, predeceased him by 3 months. A 21 year resident of Portland and Corpus Christi, Jerry was active in various groups, and was also an avid Master Gardener. He was always a big help to his wife with her craft making, and liked to play cards and dice. He enjoyed watching football games and detective shows. His last job was working for the Drury Inn hotel. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Susie Van Dyke, of Cincinnati Ohio. He is survived by his step daughters, Lisa Connolly and Paige Byrne Shortal, and step son Anthony Dallmann-Jones, and their spouses, children and grandchildren, as well as his brother, Don, his wife and their children and grandchildren.
