Gene Covey, U.S. Marine Corp. veteran, age 67, of Schertz, passed away May 15, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Carol Covey, Schertz; daughter & son-in-law, Laraine & Jim Petrillo, Schertz; grandchildren, James Petrillo, Schertz, Meagan Petrillo, New York; mother, Annie Covey, Schertz; sisters, Gail Cox, Cibolo, Nancy Covey, S.A.; brother, Roger Covey, Schertz; seven dogs & one cat. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Schertz Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, May 18, 2007 at San Fernando Cemetery # 3, 1735 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX.
