Gary Dennis Bolte of Cibolo, Texas went to be with the Lord, at age 71 in Live Oak, Texas on Wednesday, August 10th 2022. He was born April 27th, 1951 in Ashtabula, Ohio to father Edward and mother Kathryn (Wuori) Bolte. He graduated from Edgewood Senior High School in Ashtabula, Ohio. He then worked tirelessly to put himself through college and graduated from The Ohio State University with a BS in Insurance Studies in 1975. He worked professionally as an underwriter for Ohio Casualty Insurance Company, which then brought him to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Where he met and wed the love of his life, Betty (Gonzales) Bolte.
Gary was most proud of his family. He absolutely treasured spending time with his family. Watching Ohio State Football games with his best friend and fellow Buckeye alumni. His passion was genealogy and tracking his lineage. Gary was a man of faith and always happy. He will always be remembered for his incredible knowledge and love for history, his contagious laugh, stories he would tell his grandchildren every evening around the dinner table and his love for his wife's green chile enchilada casserole. Unwavering joy, love and support and laughter were his trademarks. Gary was humble and always kind. He was modest of his achievements, but everyone who knew him admired him, and saw him as someone we hoped to be like.
Gary is survived by his wife Betty, daughter Melissa and son-in-law Glen Hugo, his grandchildren Jemma and Gary-Glen Hugo. His brother Edward and sister Denise Bolte of Ohio. As well as his very special dog's Maxwell and Honey-Bear. He was preceded in death by his parent's and brother James Alan in 1961.
