Fulton Gant

July 28, 1934 — February 3, 2009

Fulton L. Gant was born to the late John and Sarah Gant on 28 June 34, in Isola, Mississippi and grew up in Gary, Indiana. He confessed his belief in Christ at an early age and firmly believed God helps those that help themselves . After graduating from Froebel High School, Fulton enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country for 20 years. He continued his professional career with a several year stint at Southwest Research, and the Northeast Independent School District, in San Antonio, Texas. Fulton is survived by his only son Kevin Gant. Preceded in death by brother, John Rock Jr. Gant and sister, Martha Gant Winbush. Survived by brother, Robert Bounce Gant; sister, Nadine Gant Asbury, sister, Icye David, all of Gary, Indiana, Nieces, Nephews, and a host of extended family members and beloved friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Schertz Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel with the interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
