Fread Cielencki, Sr.

July 7, 1930 — January 6, 2019

Fread Edward Cielencki, Sr. of Kirby, went to be with our Precious Lord on Sunday January 6, 2019 at the age of 88. He was born in St. Hedwig, Texas, to John Frank Cielencki and Mary Lucille Dzierzanowski Cielencki.

Fread was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Andrew, Johnnie and Mary Ann. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janet Brogdon Cielencki; children, Cheryl Lewis (Jerry), Fread Cielencki, Jr. (Catherine), Charlotte Manning (David), and Jonathan Cielencki (Kathie); brother, Clarance Cielencki (Sandra); 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.

The family will receive guests at Schertz Funeral Home at 6:00 PM Friday, January 11, 2019. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM. A Private Burial will take place at a later date at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, with Full Military Honors.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
