Franklin Keilman
June 18, 1946 — July 14, 2013
Franklin D. Keilman, born June 18, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas. He was an avid Hunter and Traveler as well as Cowboys and Spurs fan, but above all things, he treasured his relationship with his large and loving family and many beloved friends. Franklin was owner of Road Runner Wrecker in 1970. Later, he and his brother founded City Towing Assoc. in 1977 to 1993; he also had the contract for the City of San Antonio, Texas. He then operated many other businesses such as K-Mobile and America-Go-RV, but his passion was always the Towing Industry. He received the Tow Operators Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. He was our beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather who went to be with our Lord in his final resting place. He was the son of dearly departed Louis Edward Keilman and Josephine Rosalie Wells Keilman and brother, Louis S. Keilman. Franklin is survived by his loving wife, Victoria Krawietz Keilman, of 50+ years and 4 daughters and 7 grandchildren- Catherine and Robert Tuttle with children Candice Tuttle and Megan and Matthew Oliver; Rebecca Keilman with children Brittany and Daniel Smith, Christine Arnold, and Dusti Milewski; Josephine Keilman and partner, Apryle Zeigler; Cynthia and Barry F. Rosner with sons Jordan Magaa and Hunter Rosner. He is also survived by his 3 sisters " Marie and Rudy Keilman, Betty Redus, and Darlene Shields as well as sister-in-law, Alice Keilman and many other sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A woman who he considered more as a sister than a friend, Brigetta Fitzgerald. His Sports Companion who helped us care for him to keep his spirits high, Jeremy Thornton. Franklin had many wonderful attributes, loving and caring for all those around him, but his greatest gift was the joy and laughter he brought to all who were blessed to know him. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013, from 5:00PM to 9:00PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, TX 78154, (210)658-9224. Visitation will resume on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 9:00AM with the Funeral Mass to begin at 10:00AM, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 16075 Evans Road, Selma, TX 78154. The Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78266. Catered reception will follow at Blue Bonnet Palace, 17630 Lookout Rd, Schertz, TX 78154. His pallbearers will be Robert T. Tuttle, Gary Phillips, Matthew Oliver, Daniel Smith, Sean Shodrok, Jeremy Thornton, Barry Rosner, and Jordan Magaa.
