Frank Louis Haynie was called home to be with our Lord on September 5, 2019, at the age of 71 surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Frank’s passion in life was volunteering, helping others in whatever needed to be done. He enjoyed golfing, spending time with his family and friends. Frank graduated from W.B Ray High School in Corpus Christi, TX and also attended Texas A&M University. He then decided he wanted to serve his country in the United States Air Force where he served as a Morse code intercept operator until his honorable discharge from the service. Frank was adventurous and loved taking flying lessons. He was employed with Southwestern Bell/ AT&T from 1973 till his retirement in 2003. He was a man of faith and served God to the fullest. He will be missed by all whom knew and loved him.
Frank leaves his memory to be cherished by his wife of 38 years Mary Ellen Haynie; son: Jason Garrett Haynie; brother: Steve (Annette) Haynie; nieces: Jessica Haynie, Sandy Luna, and Michelle Crane; and numerous other family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Lora Jean Haynie; and brother, Johnny Haynie.
The family will receive condolences from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 8, 2019, with a Memorial Service beginning at 11:30 AM, at the Schertz Funeral Home, located at 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, Texas, 78154. A reception will follow at 1:00PM at the Universal City United Methodist Church in the fellowship hall, located at 90 Winn Avenue, Universal City, Texas, 78148.
