Florentino Rodriguez

Rev. Florentino Rodriguez, 76, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2024, surrounded by his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren that he adored. He had resided in Cibolo, Texas for the past 4 years. Florentino was born on September 2, 1947 in Reynosa, Mexico to parents, Arnulfo Rodriguez and Hilaria Martinez.    

Rev. Florentino Rodriguez was an ordained minister for over 50 years for the Assemblies of God organization.  He graduated from the Insitituto Biblico Magdiel located in Mexico in 1969.  Shortly after, he began his work for the Lord as a Pastor from 1969 – 2019.

• Templo El Redentor: Lubbock, Texas 1982 – 1993 

• Templo Sinai: Levelland, Texas 1995 – 2000 

• Primera Asamblea: Alice, Texas 2002 – 2019 

Although he retired in 2019, he continued to share the word of God through his Facebook posts called “Tiempo De Reflexcion”.   

Florentino was preceded in death by his parents, Arnulfo Rodriguez and Hilaria Martinez; son, Faustino Rodriguez. He is survived by his daughter, Dalila (Lily) Valdez; son-in-law, Ray Valdez; grandchildren, Samantha Valdez and Nathaniel Valdez; great grandson, Damien Reitz; brothers and sisters, Jesus Rodriguez, Amparo Rodriguez, Noemi Rodriguez, Efrain Rodriguez and Arnulfo Rodriguez.

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, with Visitation to begin at 9:00AM, on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel - 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, TX 78154.
